Project Awareness is a consensus-based social and environmental justice group based in Saint Lucie, Martin, and Palm Beach Counties. Currently, Project Awareness ....is working alongside the Palm Beach County Environmental Coalition and Everglades Earth First! (EEF!) to stop the construction of a natural gas plant that FPL has proposed building less than a ¼ mile from the Arthur R. Marshall National Wildlife Refuge (which is part of the Everglades bioregion and home to 30 endangered or threatened species). We are also fighting to ensure that the battle against climate change isn't used as an excuse to ramp up nuclear energy.
